Arrival Instructions

Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time or only a few minutes early. Ceremonies are scheduled throughout the day, often approximately every 30 minutes, so arriving on time helps us protect each couple’s reserved appointment.

When you arrive, please come to the 4th floor and call 469-672-9436. A member of our team will meet you and escort you into the chapel.

Please do not enter the office area without being escorted, as another couple’s ceremony may be taking place.

If you arrive early, please wait until your scheduled appointment time before calling for entry. If you arrive late, we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate you; however, we cannot delay or interrupt another couple’s ceremony. Depending on the schedule, you may need to wait for the next available opening.

Please share these instructions with your guests before the ceremony. Everyone attending should know the arrival procedure and the guest limit for your selected package before arriving.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the guest limit include the couple?
No. The guest limit refers to guests attending in addition to the couple, unless otherwise stated for your specific package.
Do children count toward the guest limit?
Yes. Children who are walking or require their own seating count toward the guest limit for your selected package. Newborns and infants who do not require a separate seat generally do not count toward the limit.

For couples-only appointments, a newborn, infant, or very young toddler may accompany the couple. Otherwise, the appointment is limited to the couple.
Should we bring young children?
Because ceremonies are brief and appointments operate on a structured schedule, we generally recommend making other arrangements for young children when possible. If children attend, they must remain with and be supervised by an adult.
Can we bring our own photographer?
Yes. You are welcome to bring a photographer. Photographers count toward the guest limit for your selected package. The nearby Mandalay Canal Walk is also a popular location for photographs following the ceremony.
What if we don't have a photographer?
Upon request, Dallas Wedding Officiants may take a few courtesy digital photos immediately following your ceremony. We also have a tripod available if you would like to use your own phone for photos or video.
Do we need to bring a bouquet?
No. If you would like a bouquet but do not have one, a bouquet from our Something Borrowed Collection is available for use during your appointment.
What if we don't have a ring box?
No problem. A ring box is available through our Something Borrowed Collection for use during your ceremony or photographs.
Do we need to bring rings?
No. Rings are completely optional. If you choose to exchange rings, your officiant will guide you through the ring exchange.
Can we read our own vows?
Yes. Personal vows are optional. You may bring written vows or have them available on your phone. Your officiant will let you know when it is time to share them.
Do we have to memorize anything?
No. Your officiant will guide you through the ceremony from beginning to end. You do not need to memorize vows, responses, or any part of the ceremony.
Can we customize our ceremony?
Ceremony customization depends on the package you selected and any arrangements made in advance. Religious, cultural, bilingual, personal, or other special ceremony elements should be discussed before your appointment.
Can our ceremony be performed in Spanish?
Spanish and bilingual ceremony options may be available depending on the package, officiant availability, and arrangements made in advance.
Can we upgrade our package after booking?
Package upgrades may be available based on scheduling and availability. Any applicable price difference must be paid and the upgrade confirmed before additional guests or upgraded services are considered part of your reservation.
Can we bring more guests than our package allows?
Guest limits are based on the package reserved. If you need additional capacity, please contact us before the ceremony to determine whether an upgrade is available.
Can we arrive early?
Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time or only a few minutes early. Arriving significantly early does not guarantee early entry because another ceremony may be taking place.
What happens if we arrive late?
We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate you, but we cannot delay or interrupt another couple’s appointment. If there is not enough time remaining in your reserved appointment, you may need to wait for the next available opening.
Can we arrive early to change clothes?
Early access or changing accommodations depend on your package and any arrangements made in advance. Unless you have received separate instructions, please plan to arrive ready for your ceremony.
Can we choose a specific backdrop or décor?
Available décor and backdrops depend on your package, the chapel setup, and arrangements made in advance. Specific décor requests must be confirmed before the ceremony.
What marriage license do we need?
Please bring your original, valid Texas marriage license. We cannot perform the legal marriage ceremony without the original license.
What happens to our marriage license after the ceremony?
Your officiant will complete and sign the appropriate portion of the license. Dallas Wedding Officiants will then return the completed marriage license to the county clerk that issued it for recording.
What if we did not receive our confirmation email?
Check your spam, junk, and promotions folders first. If you still cannot locate your confirmation, contact Dallas Wedding Officiants so we can verify the email address associated with your reservation.
Can we reschedule our appointment?
Rescheduling is subject to availability and the terms applicable to your reservation. Please use the rescheduling options provided with your booking or contact us if assistance is needed.
What if we need to cancel?
Cancellation and refund provisions are governed by the terms applicable to your reservation. Please review our Terms of Use for complete information.
Do our guests need these instructions too?
Yes. Please share the arrival instructions and guest limitations with everyone attending your ceremony before they arrive. Guests should know when to arrive, where to wait, how entry works, and the guest limit for your package.
Can our guests enter the chapel before us?
Please do not enter the office or chapel area without being escorted by a member of our team. Another couple’s ceremony may be taking place. Guests should follow the same arrival instructions provided to the couple.
